Praise for Bill Coster: Master Bird Photographer

Bill Coster is the author of Creative Bird Photography and a bird photographer extraordinaire. The following snippet of praise provides a link to a gallery of nine incredible images, complete with captions:
I would like to point out right away that the best bird photograph I've ever taken was of a gull eating fries at McDonald's, and even that had part of my finger in it. It's from this novice perspective, albeit an avid birder perspective, that I'd like to suggest that all working and wannabe bird photographers will benefit from Bill Coster's Creative Bird Photography.

These two European rollers (Coracias garrulus) are mating.
Birds' mating is often a quick business as it can leave them open to attack from predators. Here, the female is still holding an insect in her mouth that the male presented to her shortly before the image was taken.
The composition and blurred, warm background add to the effect of the shot, as did the timing: "The male had to raise his wings briefly to balance himself on the female's back […] capturing that moment really added to the picture," says Coster.
